Take a grill-side seat for culinary theater and skyline views
A uniquely Japanese cooking style in a breathtaking setting
On the top floor of The Okura Tokyo, discover a dining venue where the cooking process is as memorable as the views. With the Tokyo skyline on show all around, take a seat at a teppanyaki counter and watch select ingredients being expertly prepared in front of you. As brandy-fueled flames light the grill, you'll know you're somewhere special. The perfect place to try Wagyu beef in Tokyo.
Admire the illuminated Tokyo cityscape while the teppanyaki grill sizzles
As the first piece of silky Wagyu beef touches the shining hot plate, irresistible scents fill the air. Grilled vegetables, sourced from choice farms, pop with color. The soul of Japanese farming is inherent in rice mixed with garlic that has been flavored in soy sauce for a full year.
Imagine the Minato skyline as a backdrop in a theater where the chef takes center stage. Our very own Okura beef, cooked exactly as you request. Brandy flames lighting the scene. Vegetables slowly roasted on the teppanyaki, turned over lovingly to preserve their shape. Your meal prepared before your eyes.

Wagyu beef is often a must-try at a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant, but Sazanka seafood is equally delightful. Sweet, succulent scallops blessed with just the right amount of grilling. Shrimp and lobster with the most delicate flavors. Always selected and prepared with care and expertise.
After finishing at the grill, retire for dessert in our sumptuously comfortable lounge with plump cushions and warm tones that match the deep reds of the artwork. Coffee or an apéritif? There's time to linger over both.
The teppanyaki cooking style began as a way to help diners appreciate a full sense of Japanese hospitality, seeing the dedication displayed by chefs. It became popular around the time of the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, when foreign visitors came to Japan in larger numbers.
Sazanka offers five private rooms for family celebrations or business events
